Hi everyone...I just wanted you all to know that you'll be able to read *even more* of my "Lost" musings over at docarzt.com
The good Doc (aka Jon Lachonis) solicited new contributors, I replied, we had a lovely IM chat, and my first piece was posted today. I'm kind of trying to fill in the gaps left by all the myriad other recappers and focus on small things, often not in the "A-story", which are being neglected but which might also be more important than we know.
Here's a link to the piece:
www.docarzt.com/lost-theor...10-look.php
I'll be doing one for each episode, plus coming up with other ways to contribute. I will, of course, still be posting here as well but I just figured it was time to start letting people outside of Tribe feel the joy. *chuckles*

Likewise. You are the reason I keep coming here. -

Tho, bundt, you might consider petitioning the good Doc yourself. You're always insightful in your postings. -

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 5:18 PMI just got around to reading your contribution; very nicely done, Sonyalynn.

Hardly. I sometimes correct people on misremembered info, but I don't think I've supplied anything of substance in a while. I've mostly given up trying to figure out where they are going and am just enjoying the story as best I can. -

Re: Shameless (but Lost-related!) self-promotion
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 6:30 PMAgain, thanks very much!
My intent over on DocArzt's blog is to keep up calling out smaller, commonly-ignored parts of each episode as the show goes forward. Not sure what I'm going to do during the hiatus, though. But I'm sure I'll come up with something. :-)

Re: Shameless (but Lost-related!) self-promotion
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 6:27 PM>None of the other "mysterious islands" commonly considered antecedents for Lost's Island--Verne's The Mysterious Island, the island of Shakespeare's The Tempest (and the Forbidden Planet of film), Lemuria, Mu, Atlantis, and so on--were alive in and of themselves like Lost's Island and Solaris are.<
Turtle Island was alive in and of itself, though it is perhaps not a commonly considered antecedent for LOST's Island.
Great observations regarding Solaris vis a vis LOST! Dead on with all of that.
