Smokey = Jacob's enemy?

I remembered the other day when Ben went into the temple and smokey appeared in the guise of his daughter and she told him to do as Locke said without question. I do not believe Locke is being controlled by anyone per se, like a demon in someone who is possessed. I wonder if the guy in the black shirt is now smokey...

Just throwin my thoughts out there....
