Of all the characters on Lost, Desmond is the one I love the most, and now that we know the outcome (or part of the outcome) for the Oceanic 6 .. I'm worried for Desmond's fate. Call me a hopeless romantic, but it saddens me to think that Desmond or Penny will never be reunited.

I'm a huge mark for the Desmond/Penny relationship and find myself REALLY hoping that they get a "happily ever after" when all's said and done.
But then, this is Lost..."happily ever after" never seems to figure too prominently into these stories. :-\ -

I bet that Jack's "See you in another life, brother" will be moot, somehow Des will be a player(or a pawn) in the off-island power struggles.
I hope he and Penny have some time to enjoy each other first, however. What a challenged relationship they have had. -

He's a really expressive actor, such a charactered face. I have high hopes for Daniel's survival as well, though I guess it doesn't look good considering his current location. -

Mon, June 2, 2008 - 12:05 AMYes, remember it was supposed to be Frank piloting that plane. Perhaps Smoky ate the pilot because he didn't 'matter' as in wasn't on any list of good or bad people. The island continue to work, contriving to get Frank on the island where it needed him to be. Perhaps if he HAD piloted the plane, he would have survived (not been eaten) and been one of the Losties. -

Thu, June 5, 2008 - 1:38 PMActually, Desmond getting his in-the-flesh reunion with Penny this early kinda has me worrying about their particular "happily ever after". There's still Ben's sworn vengeance on Widmore to worry about there, after all. And so far, Lost isn't looking like a show with much in the way of happy endings for anyone. (It's clearly of the Joss Whedon school in that regard! :-P )
But I'm still pulling for them to get a happy ending...it's still possible. -
