At a small gathering of local Tribe friends here in Anchorage one of them mentioned to me the end date of LOST's run is known and confirmed. Even though this "news" is one year and twelve days old at this point, just in case anyone else out there also had no idea, here is a link to the info:

Somehow I had missed hearing this -or, at least, having this info register in my brain.

I had been figuring on a shorter amount of time/smaller number of episodes remaining to the run than seems to actually be the case. Given this much time remaining to the saga it seems as if almost anything could happen.

How impressive that ABC would commit in advance to sticking with a series of such lengthy duration. Remember when HBO cancelled Carnivale after folks became fascinated with the story and characters? That sucked.
